That is, babies and children under age 13 will not be admitted to the concerts. Minors must be at least age 13 and with their own parent. Music in the Vineyards Romantic evenings await you at this summer's lawn concert series. Our 25th season offers a wide variety of bands and music styles. Join us for a memorable evening of music, romance and relaxation in the shadow of the winery's majestic stone arches. June 30 Nightwind will start of the series with an evening of classic light rock. This year marks their 14th appearance at the vineyards. The Nissley audience always has a great time with this band. July 7 Swing to the big band era sounds of the John Clark Big Band. New to the series, this 13-member band from the Philadelphia area is comprised of musicians who have worked with some of the greatest talent in the world. They play classics made famous by Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Tommy Dorsey, to name a few. More info: www.johnclarkbigband.com July 14 The Uptown Band featuring Erich Cawalla and Jennifer Kinder will lift you up with their rich variety of music from the Motown years to the present. These seven musicians move easily from smooth to soaring. Join us for their first performance at the vineyards. More info: www.uptownbandmusic.com July 21 Leading his six-piece band on trumpet, Andy Angel spent many years of his musical life appealing to Las Vegas audiences. If you enjoy Dancing with the Stars, you will love this band. July 28 The ever popular Big Band Nostalgia will be returning with their hits of the big band era and contemporary romantic favorites. This 15 member band is led by Bill Hicks, an alumnus of the Harry James Band, and features Tricia Scott as vocalist. More info: www.bigbandnostalgia.com. August 4 The SilverHawks will be returning for their sixth season at Nissley Vineyards. They are a Lancaster band of 12 musicians who combine classic rock with soul and Motown for a musically charged evening. More info: www.thesilverhawks.com August 11 We are hoping for better weather than last year when The Jazzberries take the stage. This 16-member group of leading area musicians will perform upbeat, classic big band favorites and more recent hits for a romantic evening of beautiful music. August 18 The Headliners will return for their fourth season at Nissley Vineyards as their very talented band of six brings to life Top 40 hits from the 60's thru the 90's. August 25 The 7-piece JumpStreet band will return for a second season, focusing on music of the 70's and 80's to give you a lively mix of funk, rock and soul. September 1 To close the series, we present the local band D.C. & Co. In the words of their leader Dave Costarella, their music style is "horn-powered rockin' blues with swing, funk and jazz." You can expect unique, original sounds among familiar popular numbers by other groups such as Chicago. More info: www.dcandco.net Picnic fare of specialty breads, cheeses, pocket sandwiches and sweets will be purveyed by Breads N Cheese of Hershey (717-533-4546) for the concerts held on June 30 thru July 28. Events Etc By The Hershey Pantry (717-533-1151 ext. 2) will offer specialty sandwiches, snacks and dessert items for the concerts held August 4 thru September 1. Or bring a picnic supper if you wish. Just remember that carry-in alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Chilled Nissley wines and soft drinks will be available for purchase at all concerts. Our wine staff will be glad to help you choose a Nissley wine to enjoy with your picnic supper. At the wine bars in the Winery archway, you will find a selection of our wines, ranging from dry to sweet. If you look at the Wine Selection page now, you find helpful descriptions. Wines may be purchased by the bottle. The price per bottle (including sales tax) ranges from $7.00 to $26.25 depending on the wine you select. MC, Visa and AmEx are accepted inside the Wine Shop only. Season Passes ($70 each) will be available at all Nissley Wine Shops and at the gate. However, we cannot accept credit cards or out-of-area checks at the gate. If you prefer, you may order a season pass by mail, phone or fax. If you plan to host a group of friends or associates, please call or e-mail the winery office to receive our helpful Group Guidelines.
