Associate

The Tasting Room Customer Experience Associate is a part-time, customer-focused position responsible for developing relationships with customers through the promotion of Nissley wines. Nissley Vineyards is a family-owned winery and vineyard that has been producing wine in Lancaster County since 1978.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, comfortable engaging with newcomers in the wine shop and is enthusiastic. This position aligns well for someone with hospitality, bartending, server, customer service and retail sales experience who thrives in a fun, fast-paced exciting work environment. We are looking for enthusiastic team members who love to smile. Ideally looking for someone with weekday and weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain an understanding of all Nissley wines.

- Ensure all guests are greeted immediately upon entering the tasting room.

- Conduct wine tastings and provide guidance based on customer feedback.

- Communicate with all guests in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Share information about Nissley Vineyards.

- Promote our wines and events with the intent of establishing long-term customer relationships.

- Adhere to all R.A.M.P. Policies, PLCB regulations and in-house policies and procedures

- Understand and follow all shift opening and closing procedures.

- Accurately operate POS System to transact sales and maintain tasting room inventory.

- Ensure cleanliness and aesthetics of the tasting room, and all areas related to the tasting room.

- Maintain physical inventory of merchandise items and restock wine in tasting room as needed.

Expectations:

- Outstanding personal presentation, communication, and customer service.

- Obtain RAMP certification within 15 days of hire

- Have an appreciation for wine.

- Ability to work most weekends.

- Needs to be highly motivated and team oriented.

- Maintain a friendly, courteous, and engaging demeanor with customers and staff.

- Attend all staff meetings and education sessions.

Education and Experience:

- Must be at least 21 years of age

- Wine knowledge is preferred but not required. Training is provided.

- Possess excellent verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

- Ability to stand and work for long periods.
